The “Sketches of Kendo" on Facebook has been a record of my journey in kendo throughout the years.

It started more than ten years ago, and I am quite surprised that after more than a decade, I can still find different inspiration after each training, tournament, or when I am alone in my own realm, reflecting on the many that I have observed and experienced.

Facebook used to be a very convenient platform in the past, but recently it has evolved into something that I am uneasy with due to the many advertisements and how information and data are used.

Perhaps this is the perfect time to start a new page.

very much a beginner, I never thought I would start to learn kendo, and never have I imagined that I will be having shiai and keiko with friends, strangers, stranger who became friends, from near and afar.

kendo to me is more than a traditional budo.

every time after a session, into the night, the scenes and images just get replayed at the back of my mind, and generate strings of random thoughts, which I try to recapture them with my sketches and words.

To artist Douglas Ho, Kendo is more than just a traditional Japanese Budo, it is a way of life. Mostly sketches that were made in a few minutes. This website holds the sketches made, and act as platform to communicate with all those who are interested.
